The past week took me to Kansas three times - exactly three more visits than I have ever paid to the state of Kansas. I stayed in the party town of Hays on Tuesday night, ate dinner in Ellis on Sunday and played in Kansas City last night. All good places, and more importantly, all good people. To the small but mighty crowd at the Beaumont Club, thanks for your ears last night.

And now I write to you from my Friday morning home, the Kansas City airport, where I'm beginning to appreciate just how lucky we are that we get to play night in and night out right now. Being a musician is not a job. It's a privilege. We've enjoyed being with The Samples for the past few weeks and hope to continue to see all of you in the months to come. For now, Indiana is the only thing on my mind.
